Boris Johnson was last night blasted as beyond reckless for visiting a vaccine production firm in Scotland despite a coronavirus outbreak at the site.
The Prime Minister went to Valneva, in Livingston, last Thursday during a controversial trip north.
But the Daily Record can reveal the visit came just 24 hours after a public health probe at the site, which uncovered 14 coronavirus cases about one in eight of the workforce.
Lothian Labour MSP Neil Findlay said it was absolutely extraordinary Johnson continued with his politically motivated PR visit despite the outbreak.
He added: This is beyond reckless and verges on being criminally irresponsible.
What credibility does Johnson now have in lecturing others to stay at home while he flagrantly disregards public health advice?
It comes as Scotland’s lockdown was extended until March at the earlier.
Sturgeon said restrictions are working as infection levels dip, but in a statement at the Scottish Parliament warned the pandemic is still not under enough control.
