Yesterday, Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A72 mid-range smartphones at the companys second Unpacked event of 2021. Both of these handsets support 25W fast charging. However, one of them ships with a 15W charger.

The newly unveiled Galaxy A52 is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. For comparison, last years Galaxy A51 has a slightly smaller 4,000mAh battery and it is capped at 15W fast charging.
But unfortunately, just like the older Galaxy A51, the brand-new Galaxy A52 also ships with a popular Samsung 15W Adaptive Fast Charging adapter. Hence, if users want to make use of the phones maximum charging potential, they will have to buy the 25W charger separately.
On the other hand, the more expensive Galaxy A72 comes with a 25W charger instead. So buyers of this smartphone no need to worry about investing in a fast charger.
That said, Samsung is at least shipping these handsets with a charger, unlike the companys flagship Galaxy S21 series.
Anyway, the Galaxy A52 despite featuring non-impressive specs for the price when compared to devices from Chinese OEMs, it does offer other important features. For instance, it is probably the only phone in the segment to come with IP67 certification, three Android updates, and four years of security updates.
