It was swift redemption for Thomas Frank’s side, back at Wembley Stadium just nine months after losing to Fulham in last season’s delayed final – but the bookmakers aren’t backing them to stay in the top flight for long.
Brentford join fellow newly-promoted sides Norwich City and Watford as evens to be relegated at the end of the 2021-22 Premier League season.
The news isn’t much better for Newcastle United who, despite their 12th-place finish, are tipped for another season of struggle.
SkyBet has them ranked at 11/4 to go down, the same as Burnley, which is the lowest odds of any current top-flight side.
Southampton, who ended last term in poor form, are 9/2 while managerless Wolves and Aston Villa are 5/1.
Brighton, perhaps surprisingly, are 11/2.
