SINGAPORE The Ministry of Health (MOH) on Monday (5 July) confirmed 13 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore, taking the country’s total case count to 62,630.
Six of them are domestic cases, of whom four are linked to previous infections and have already been placed on quarantine. Monday marks the 71st consecutive day with local cases reported in Singapore.
The remaining seven cases are imported, of whom five were detected upon their arrival here, while two developed the illness during their stay-home notice or isolation period.

As of Sunday, 103 cases are currently warded in hospital, most of whom are well and under observation. There are currently 10 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and two in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Apart from the 36 patients who have died from COVID-19 complications, 15 others who tested positive for the virus were determined to have died from unrelated causes, including three whose deaths were attributed to a heart attack and another four, whose deaths were attributed to coronary heart disease.
Over the last 28 days, 22 local cases required oxygen supplementation, were admitted to ICU or passed away. Of these, 19 are unvaccinated, three are partially vaccinated and none was fully vaccinated.
As of 3 July, a total of 5,706,932 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered under the national vaccination programme. About 3.55 million individuals have received at least one dose, of whom 2.16 million of them are fully vaccinated.
