A staff member at a NSW pharmacy has tested positive for COVID-19, prompting concerns of a cluster forming in the Blue Mountains area.In a social media post, the Greenwell and Thomas Pharmacy Katoomba said a staff member who was working on December 26 and 27 had tested positive for coronavirus.
“The Department to Health has requested they be tested for COVID-19 and to isolate until they have a negative result,” the pharmacy said.
“The pharmacy has been deep cleaned and we have been advised by the Department of Health that we are able to open.”
On Thursday afternoon NSW Health announced that anyone who visited the pharmacy on Saturday and Sunday was deemed a casual contact and must get tested immediately, isolating until a negative result.
