
A pedestrian has died after he was hit by a car on the M50 in Dublin.
The crash happened at about midnight on the northbound section of the motorway near the Finglas exit.
The motorway was closed for a time on both sides as a forensic examination was carried out.
The road has been reopened to southbound traffic, but the northbound lanes remain closed between junctions 5 and 6.
