Forensic Crash Unit investigators have charged a man following a fatal traffic incident this morning which claimed the life of a 21-year-old Minyama man at Maroochydore.
The 25-year-old Mooloolaba man attended the Maroochydore Police Station this morning in relation to incident on Maroochy Boulevard.
He has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and leaving the scene of incident without obtaining help.
The man has been given police bail to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on January 22.
The mans sedan has been seized and subject to forensic examination.
The family of the 21-year-old Minyama man who died have requested privacy at this time as they grieve the loss of their loved one.
