If you’re in the market for a budget Android phone, Realme has revealed the C21, a new sub-RM500 smartphone that comes with a big battery. This appears to be a refresh of the Realme C12 that was released last August.
Pricing and availability
The Realme C21 is officially priced at RM499 in Malaysia and it comes with 3GB RAM + 32GB of storage. The device is offered in 2 colours – Cross Blue and Cross Black. It’s now available on the official Realme online store on Lazada and all authorised dealers in the country.
Hardware Specs
The C21 comes with a 6.5″ HD+ LCD display that pushes a modest resolution of 1600×720 pixels. It has a tiny notch at the top of the display which houses a 5MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Helio G35 processor that’s mated to 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Onboard, it has 32GB of storage which is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot.
The device features a triple-camera setup which consists of a 13MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP B&W lens for depth effects. The device can shoot 1080p videos and it also offers HDR and night mode.
Powering the C21 is a 5,000mAh battery which charges via microUSB. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, supports Bluetooth 5.0 and up to 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi. For instant unlocking, it still gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Out of the box, it runs on Android 10 with Realme UI skin on top.
