Duff is already a mother to Luca, eight, with ex-husband Mike Comrie and two-year-old Banks with Koma.
But with her third pregnancy she told about feeling unusual sensations, including feeling shooting pains in her vagina.

Hilary Duff has made an extraordinarily intimate revelation about her pregnancy.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she revealed that she contacted her midwife over the pains.
I didnt have it with the other kids so I text my midwife the other day and I was like, Whats up with the stabbing pains in my vagina? Im not feeling this. It feels awful, like youre being struck by lightning, she said.
Thankfully her midwife had a simple explanation for her.
She just wrote back and was like, Oh, lightning crotch, like it was no big thing. I was like, This is quite traumatic. Itll just strike and all of a sudden youre doubled over then its gone. The term is call lightning, which is like the baby getting ready for birth, lowering, she said.
But despite her pain, Duff said this has been her best pregnancy so far as she has been busy with work and playing with her two children.
I feel about how I look, which is really, really big. I feel tired and honestly its been the best pregnancy so far…Thats helpful because I dont have time to focus on every ache and pain or [like] the babys the size of this fruit this week, she said.
It comes after the ‘Lizzie McGuire’ star recently revealed she has been suffering from pregnancy sciatica a painful condition, which causes shooting pains up a person’s lower back and legs.
Sharing a picture of herself lying in bed on her Instagram account, she captioned it: When the pregnancy sciatica gets ya. (sic).
Duff has dyed her hair blue in the final stages of her pregnancy but insists its not an indication of the sex of her unborn child.
I swear this doesnt mean Im having a boy… my mom thought I was trying to tell everyone something! We still dont know whos occupying my apartment- but its getting the eviction notice soon-ish, she said.
