Director Shankar’s daughter Aishwarya will tie the knot with cricketer Rohit Damodharan today, June 27. Due to the Covid-induced restrictions, the wedding will be attended by close family members and friends. For his daughter’s wedding, director Shankar has chosen a resort at Mahabalipuram, which has been decorated with flowers. More photos from the wedding are expected to be out later in the day.
WEDDING BELLS IN DIRECTOR SHANKAR’S HOUSEHOLD
Director Shankar has found himself in a legal mess due to creative differences between him and Lyca Productions (producer of Indian 2). However, it is time for Shankar to keep it all aside and concentrate on his daughter’s wedding. His daughter Aishwarya will marry Rohit today.
According to the Tamil Nadu government’s lockdown order, only 50 members are allowed to attend a wedding. Keeping the Covid-19 regulations in mind, director Shankar has invited only family members and close friends. It is said that there will be a grand reception later for which many celebrities across the country will be invited.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin is expected to attend the wedding today. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.
WHO ARE AISHWARYA AND ROHIT DAMODAREN?
Aishwarya is director Shankar and wife Easwari’s eldest daughter. She is a doctor by profession. Rohit Damodharan is the son of industrialist Damodharan, owner of the Madurai Panthers cricket team in TNPL (Tamil Nadu Premier League). Rohit Damodharan is the captain of Madurai Panthers.
