Actress Ara Mina and businessman Dave Almarinez exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony Wednesday afternoon in Baguio City.
Official photographer Nice Print Photography posted snaps of the newlyweds.
The stunning bride wore a bridal ball gown designed by Leo Almodal which he described as one of his “masterpieces.”
“The Regal Beauty @therealaramina wearing a Leo Almodal Bridal Masterpiece that is intricately handcrafted and fully crystallized to perfection; from the elaborate neckpiece, bodice, sleeves to the hem! Baroque Rococo inspired princess ball dress. Corseted and cinched to emphasize her tiny waistline of 23″! A true fairytale and a royal wedding indeed!” the designer said.
“It was her idea and her dream and my job is to bring her vision to life! Like a fairy Godfather listening to a princess who is becoming a queen in her own right. Working with Hazel is a pleasure and privilege,” the fashion designer added.
Meanwhile, Almarinez wore a snazzy dark blue suit by Francis Libiran.
Among the celebrities in attendance at the wedding held at the Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges Chapel were Mina’s sister Cristine Reyes, Sunshine Cruz with her beau and Mina’s brother Macky Mathay, Diego Loyzaga and girlfriend Barbie Imperial, Jan Marini, Jaycee Parker, Melissa Ricks, Jenny Miller, Jose Sarasola, Miss Grand International 2020 first runner-up Samantha Bernardo, and Jessa Zaragoza.
The principal sponsors are the bigwigs in the entertainment industry and politics — Reality Films producer Dondon Monteverde; Viva Films producer Vic del Rosario Jr.; ABS-CBN COO for broadcast Cory Vidanes; Megastar Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan, GMA executive Redgie Magno, former Senate President Manny Villar Jr. and Senator Cynthia Villar, Senators Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Richard Gordon, Ralph Recto and Lipa Congresswoman Vilma Santos-Recto, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, Glicerio Santos Jr. and Ever Bilena owner Dioceldo Sy.
However, Santos, Cuneta, Vidanes, Magno and Del Rosario did not physically show up.
Almarinez, an undersecretary of the Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC), proposed to Mina in January 2021, almost three years after they became a couple.
The actress has a six-year-old daughter named Amanda with ex-boyfriend Bulacan mayor Patrick Meneses. She is currently part of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
