Graeme Souness and Trevor Sinclair highly regard soon-to-be new Romelu Lukaku as a top player with the latter believing that Chelsea will ‘win the Premier League’ solely because of the signing.
Lukaku, 28, has changed his stance significantly since he came out in June to deny exit rumours from Italy.
“Yes, I am staying,” he told Dutch broadcaster VTM via Sky Sports.
“I’ve already had contact with the man who normally becomes our new manager. Maybe I shouldn’t say that yet… but it was a very positive conversation.
“There’s also the challenge of doing it again [winning the league with Inter]. I feel good at Inter.”

None more so than ex-Liverpool player Graeme Souness who has admitted in the Times that he is an enormous fan of the former Manchester United striker.
Souness wrote: “Romelu Lukaku may still have unfinished business at Chelsea, who sold him to Everton seven years ago. I am an enormous fan of him.

“I used to say he was the centre forward that Premier League centre-halves would least like to play against because of his speed and strength.
“He appears to have a different focus to his game from going to Italy. Whether that is down to losing weight and a different training regime, I do not know, but he appears a more energised player.
“He has won the league in Italy at Inter Milan and everybody is raving about him there, so does he want to come back to England and show people the real Lukaku?”

Similarly to Souness, Trevor Sinclair has gone one step further to now back Chelsea to win the Premier League solely based off the impact that their new signing will have.
He told talkSPORT this week: “If Chelsea get Romelu Lukaku, they win the Premier League, unless Manchester City do more business. Thats the way I look at it. Its as simple as that.
“If Chelsea land Lukaku, which is looking pretty likely, and Man City don’t get another striker other than [Gabriel] Jesus, I think Chelsea win the Premier League.”
Lukaku played just 15 times for the west Londoners between 2011 and 2014 after being bought from Anderlecht for £18million.
10 years later, the club will be splashing out an extra £80million on top of the first fee for a player that is viewed as having an ‘enormous impact on the team’s chances of winning extra silverware in the next campaign.
