
Homicide detectives are investigating the suspicious deaths of two women in separate incidents in Melbourne on Saturday.
Police found a 63-year-old womans body inside an apartment block on Surrey Road in South Yarra around 9pm on Saturday.
A 41-year-old South Yarra man was arrested in relation to the death on Sunday and is now assisting investigators with their enquiries.
Homicide squad detectives are also probing the discovery of a womans body in her Chelsea home, 30 kilometres south-east of the Melbourne CBD.
The 78-year-old woman was found dead inside the Drinan Road property when police conducted a welfare check on her about 10.30am Saturday.
